A bad pitch that just can't wait
I know I promised my thoughts on the Jim Beam campaign and a few tips on what NOT to do, but yesterday Erika Jurney from Plain Jane Mom forwarded me a bad pitch that just can't wait.
Erika's analysis of this effort is better than anything I could do, so I will leave you with it, wish my US readers a happy holiday and promise to get the other stuff up over the weekend.

(clarification -- this is a bad pitch, but it did have a conclusion, I just screen-grabbed the first few graphs)

I hate to say it, but there was a name, real address and real (vs masked) URL to sign up associated with this pitch. I just black that stuff out because it's not about embarassing folks, it's about helping people do it better.
If it is phishing, ie some fake site trying to get us to give up our personal details to participate in their lame beta, they'd do well to do a little spell check.
Because the way this looks, English is their 7th language.
omg - did they text this pitch?
Maybe this pitch should stay in Beta a while longer...just sayin'

This is so bad and badly written that I wonder if it's not a phishing scam.
Spooky.
