Happy Holidays
Next week is shaping up to be pretty crazy -- a new client, more bad weather, I'm taking 3 kids to the Hannah Montana concert next Friday and then we're off to Vermont until the New Year -- so let me take this moment to wish you all a Merry Chrismakah and a Happy New Year.
I so appreciate that you continue to read Marketing Roadmaps and look forward to another year.
Peace.

Happy Mother's Day
| You Are Totally Like Your Mom |
You and your mom are practically clones. You think alike, and you even seem to read each other's minds. You're definitely your mother's child... and that's just fine with you. |

New Year's Resolutions
To help my clients meet their communications and marketing goals
To spend more time with my husband and son, with friends and family
To find at least five new clients
To post at least twice a week on this blog even when I am busy
To stick to my current exercise regime
To finally get the Marketing Roadshow podcast off the ground
To enjoy my connections with marketing & PR colleagues around the world, in both our virtual and real manifestations
And as I sign off for 2006, I would like to leave you with the lyrics of an old song that really resonated for me this year -- May Every Day Be Christmas by Louis Jordan:
"May every day be Christmas
And every day be blessed
Let the end of every day be filled with happiness
And may the Lord be good to you with every rising sun
All through the day have a smile for everyone
[repeats] At night time comes a longing to be with ones you love
To sit around the fireside and dream of stars above
So may God bless you and keep you, come what may
Then every day will be a happy day [end repeat]
May good times come to you every day"
That is my wish for you, dear readers: May good times come to you every day!

More holiday
Yes, I am a Battlestar Galactica fan girl. I admit it.
Fellow fans, check out these holiday greetings from the blog The CIC.
Also -- check out all the holiday stuff on the OfficeMax site. There is much more than the Elf -- among other things, there is North Pole Dancing. Well done, OfficeMax.

Back from "the happiest celebration on earth" (r)
Well, who'd a thunk it? It IS possible to go a WHOLE WEEK without blogging and reading blogs. And the world just kept on turning. Or in the case of where I was, the Epcot "golf ball" and the Universal globe.
I didn't go completely cold turkey mind you. I did read (and respond) to a few emails. But the weather was just too nice to sit inside glued to a screen.
I'll be back in the swing of things soon.

Excellent Advice for April 1
TDavid has some excellent advice for April Fool's Day -- don't take things too seriously over the weekend.
I think I may just leave the computer off and enjoy the nice spring weather. And if it rains, I'll take my kid to see the new Ice Age movie that he's only told me about four times this morning alone.
Enjoy your weekend. See you Monday.

Browster Promo, HP Auction, Presidential Potshot
From blog pal Elisa Camahort (Worker Bees), news of a Valentine's Day contest from her client Browster. Originally conceived of as a local contest for a V-Day dinner at a chic San Francisco restaurant, the company realized that dinner at a restaurant eliminated anyone not in the Bay Area. So it added three iPods as prizes. Well done! Check it out!
Three days left in the HP Charity Auction to benefit Habitat for Humanity. Lots of people are checking it out, but the bidding is slow. Please take a look -- if someone you know is in the market for an HP Photosmart printer, you might be able to get it at a good price, and help out a deserving charity. Plus you get a neat signed WireImage photo of a celebrity that you can keep or give as a gift or re-auction for that matter. Some of the celebs: Aaron Eckhart, Matt Dillon, Jennifer Aniston, Catherine Keener, William H. Macy, Al Gore and Terrence Howard.
Finally, tip of the hat to BL Ochman for the Dick Cheney Quail Hunt game. Nuff said.
